*Trust and Relationship-Building with Dogs Workshop is recommended, but not required.

In this workshop, participants receive an overview of canine cancer and learn how massage and bodywork may help as an adjunct therapy. A blend of theory and hands-on practice, this workshop covers topics such as cancer myths, types of cancers, and treatment options. Additionally, participants learn the benefits, contraindications, and guidelines for working with cancer patients as well as with patients who have other health-related conditions.  Emphasis will be placed on safety, techniques for specific cancers and stages, pet parent education and empowerment, and communication skills.

We recommend that you consider taking the Canine Palliative and Hospice Care workshop in addition to this one as they complement each other beautifully.
